To improve the features and functionality of your Windows PC, you need to perform BIOS updates. Step-by-Step Guide to Update BIOS


Identify Your Current BIOS Version: 


  1. Begin with identifying the BIOS version of your system. Here is how to open bios version.

  2. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.

  3. Type msinfo32 and press Enter. This will take you to the system Information window.

  4. Search for the entry called BIOS Version/Date under the System Summary section. 


Visit Your PC Manufacturer’s Website: 


  1. Navigate to the support page for your PC’s manufacturer like Dell, HP, Acer, etc.

  2. Enter your PC's model number or service tag (this can usually be found on a sticker on the bottom of a laptop or on the back of a desktop).

  3. Go to the “drivers and downloads”  section of the support page.

  4. Look for the BIOS or Firmware section.

  5. Check for your current BIOS version, if it's the latest version, you can proceed with the update.


Download the BIOS Update


Once you are prepared for BIOS update for your system:

You can proceed to download the BIOS update file from the manufacturer's website. 


Update the BIOS


After that, you can proceed with updating the BIOS. You can use Windows Update Tool 

Many manufacturers, like Dell and Lenovo, provide Windows-based tool to update Your Windows BIOS.
